Heather Vanek

I was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario but have relocated to Cochrane Alberta with my husband and 3 boys.

I love camping, hiking, biking, and spending as much time as possible in the mountains and outdoors

I have always had a passion for helping people since I was a young child.

I went to the University of Guelph and graduated from my Human Kinetics program with honors, after that, I obtained my massage therapy diploma from a prestigious private college in London ON.

After a decade-long career, I decided that it was time for a change and left massage therapy for Osteopathy.

I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I am so grateful to have found my true passion that allows me to help people of all ages including families to live their best lives structurally and functionally.

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and raised in Southern Ontario, attending High School in Whitby. I attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax and the University of Calgary before moving to Cochrane Alberta with my wife and dogs.

I am passionate about the ability to help others, and it has been a large part of my life since watching my Mom spend her career as a Nurse in Senior care facilities caring for the elder
community. My Father was in Health and Safety, where he explained and taught the value of knowing how things work, to ensure their safe operation, and I have continued that form of
thought as I have grown up. I have played sports my entire life and have always gravitated toward the physical realm with some ease, therefore making the change from Personal
Training into Osteopathy almost a natural decision however that changed with the introduction to Osteopathic education, structure, and philosophy.

With almost a two-decade-long career in Health and Wellness as a Personal Trainer and
Manual Therapist, I have searched and aimed for a way to take all my education and experience in
Healthcare I have accumulated and to forge it into something stronger in application.

In that
search I found Osteopathy. Osteopathy challenged and shaped me into a more complete practitioner, and has allowed me to serve the community around me in a gratuitous way for years to come.
